Bereits zum dritten Mal ist das STFU-Festival zu Gast in Heidelberg.

Unter dem Namen STFU schlossen sich Musiker, Labelmacher und Konzertveranstalter zu einem non-profit Kollektiv zusammen, um über regionale und nationale Grenzen hinweg Konzerte elektronischer und experimenteller Musik zu realisieren. Nach erfolgreichen mehrtägigen Veranstaltungen in Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Lissabon, Rom, Boston, Den Haag, Helsinki und Weimar hat sich das Festival auch in Heidelberg fest etabliert. Der Blick über den Tellerrand der elektronischen Musik verspricht jedes Jahr aufs Neue überraschende Hörerlebnisse.

Alle Künstler spielen live und spontan und interagieren miteinander.

Am Donnerstag findet das STFU ab 18 Uhr im Zollhofgarten statt (Eintritt frei!), am Freitag geht es dann ebenfalls im Zollhofgarten und anschließend bei Cube in der Halle03 weiter. Informationen zum diesjährigen Line-Up findet man unter www.halle02.de

STFU Heidelberg provides the opportunity to become immersed in the sound of the Internet, discover new artists, get to know labels and organisers and make contacts. The international collective STFU presents the finest of electronic music between intricate clicks'n'cuts, drones, and the newest beat constructions from clubland.

Through collectively organised events and festivals, STFU offers young digital musicians, audio-visual artists and small netlabels free spaces for presentation and networking. In doing so, reflection of the interfaces of music and media technology plays an important role. Their activities, however, above all formulate a critique of the existing exploitation logic of the cultural economy.

Heidelberg's favourite outdoor venue, the Zollhofgarten is the stage for the mellower STFU artists, providing a perfect backdrop for a relaxed evening in the late July heat. Friday night sees the culmination of the festival in a live techno extravaganza featuring an ecclectic mix of club music at Halle03.
