NiceTry was born in Münster in 1984 but raised in a countryside area in Lower Saxony, which is famous for its beautiful nature and the local nuclear waste storage site. He began to play rock'n'roll drums in his father's band at the age of 14, then fell in love with Hip Hop, and soon found himself trying to make beats on his Computer with a focus on sampling old classical music and operas, especially melancholic strings and harps.

In 2004 he returned to Münster to study - and instantly became infected with electronic music. He produced Trip Hop Tracks and Hip Hop instrumentals with a constantly growing electronic touch. He started Djing and met Heron through purchasing Heron's old Mixer. With Heron and three more friends he founded °Schaltkreis in 2007, a series of minimal techno parties with a unique interior design, video installations and various international guest-djs like Heartthrob, Someone Else, Barem and Pheek.°Schaltkreis has become famous for its unique style and is now one of the most impressive techno parties in and around Münster.

Since the start of °Schaltkreis he has became addicted to Minimal, Techno and Detroit Techno, without losing his priority for deep, melancholic elements, which are deeply rooted in his mixes and tracks.

Now living in Berlin, NiceTry continues to play his residency at °Schaltkreis and plays small gigs in Northern Germany as well as regular appearances in a small Berlin club.
